Shoplifting Suspect Arrested For Allegedly Stealing $700 in Items From Jasper Walmart

JASPER -- A Bloomfield man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly stealing hundreds of dollars in merchandise from the Jasper Walmart.

Police say Kenneth Phillips, 40, took the items around 7 p.m. Saturday night and fled the area in a vehicle. Responding officers located the suspect a short time later and took him into custody.

Phillips is accused of stealing over $700 in items. 

 He's charged with felony theft with a prior conviction and driving while suspended, also with a prior.
