DUBOIS CO.  -- A Dubois County farmer has been named a “River-Friendly Farmer.”

Our friends at the Dubois County Free Press report Roger Sermersheim was one of 49 Hoosier farmers to receive the award at the recent Indiana State Fair.

ThE award, hosted by the Indiana Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, recognizes landowners and farmers in the state for the work they do to protect Indiana’s natural resources.

The Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District nominated Sermersheim for the award based upon his farm management practices.
