Restrictions In Place at Memorial Hospital as Flu Fears Spread

From Local Sources

JASPER -- Memorial Hospital has put visitation restrictions in place due to the flu.

According to hospital officials, the flu is gradually increasing and they want to reduce the risk of spreading the infection to patience.

Under the restrictions, no visitors will be permitted with flu-like symptoms including cough, sore throat, fever, chills, aches, runny or stuffy nose, and vomiting or diarrhea.

No visitors under the age of 15 will be allowed and only immediate family members of a patient will be permitted to visit.

Visitors who are allowed in are being asked to clean hands frequently while at Memorial and wear protective face masks when instructed.
