Red Flag Warning This Afternoon Through Early Evening...

..The combination of gusty southwest winds, low relative
humidity, and dry small fuels is leading to critical fire weather
conditions this afternoon through the early evening hours. A few
small wildfires have been noted across southern Indiana. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.

EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY...
The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ this
evening.

* WIND...Southwest winds will increase to between 15 to 25 mph,
with gusts between 30 and 40 mph at times.

* HUMIDITY...Relative humidities will bottom out around 23 to 30
percent for several hours this afternoon and early evening.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.Recommended actionsA Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
