Red Cross Needs Local Blood Donations, You Can Help Today and Tomorrow

STATEWIDE -- Holiday travel and weather are obstacles for the Red Cross this time of year.

This holiday season is known for the spirit of giving, but the American Red Cross says this season usually results in a decrease of blood donations, with more than 30 blood drives canceled this month. Platelet and blood donations are more than welcomed, especially those with type O blood. 

Local blood drive locations can be found below. Those who donate blood through January 5 can snuggle into a long-sleeved Red Cross T-shirt for their generosity (while supplies last).
