Railroad Crossing Replacement Scheduled for SR 245 Near Lamar

>> TRAFFIC ALERT:

SPENCER COUNTY  – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure for State Road 245 near Lamar.

Beginning on or around Monday, Oct. 19, railroad crews will begin replacing the crossing on S.R. 245 between Railroad Street and County Road 1258 North. This operation will require a complete closure of the roadway at the crossing.

Work is expected to last for about four days depending upon weather condition. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, but all through traffic should use the official detour following S.R. 245, S.R. 162, U.S. 231 and S.R. 70.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
