Power Back on in Ferdinand After Semi Pulls Down Wires Near the Town's Shopping Center Monday

From Local Sources

FERDINAND -- The power is back on in Ferdinand today after a semi truck pulled wires down plunging many in the town into darkness Monday morning.

It happened in the Ferdinand Country Plaza.

Town manager Chris James says one of the wires was a ground wire, so power had to be cut so crews could safely clear the scene.

Crews were on scene early this afternoon setting a new pole and getting the remaining customers on line.

Only about 3 businesses were without power into the early afternoon.  Those were all located in the shopping center.

No reports of injury.
