Police Warning About Another Phone Scam Targeting Orange County Residents

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

FRENCH LICK -- Police in Orange County are warning residents about a phone scam.

Police say an automated voice tells the victims their social security number has been compromised or there has been suspicious activity.  The message then prompts you to press 1 to speak to a live person.

Police remind you to never give your information out over the phone.  They add, most of the callers are from other countries and are spoofing the number to make it look local on your caller ID.
