Police Chase Reaches 100 MPH, Ends in Crash

NEWBURGH -- A high-speed chase Tuesday morning ended when the suspect crashed in Warrick County.

Police say 31-year-old Jason Wilkinson stole a car and fled when police tried to pull him over, reaching speeds, at times, up to 100 mph on highway 69.

The chase ended when police set out spike strips causing Wilkinson to crash into a utility pole near the intersection of Oak Grove and Waterstone Drive in Newburgh.
