Pedestrian Struck in Holy Family Parking Lot

Jasper- Emergency officials were called to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in the Holy Family Catholic Church parking lot. 

On Saturday evening, officials say 92-year-old Kenneth Kunkler was attempting to leave the parking lot when he backed into another vehicle. Kunkler would then accelerate forward, crossing the grass median, striking 77-year-old Doris Egler. Police say Egler was walking across the parking lot. Kunkler would then continue forward and strike another vehicle. 

Officers tended to Egler before she was transported to the hospital by EMS. Her condition was not listed in the report.

While the investigation is still ongoing, officials say Kunkler does not face any charges.
