Pedestrian Sent to the Hospital After Being Hit in Crosswalk in Jasper's Courthouse Square

JASPER -- A pedestrian was sent to the hospital Monday morning after being hit by a car in Jasper.

It happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Sixth Street entering the Dubois County Courthouse Square.

Police say the pedestrian was in the crosswalk with the right-of-way.

That pedestrian complained of leg pain and was transported to Memorial Hospital.

The person’s identity and condition are not currently known.

The driver was cited for Failure to Yield the Right-of-Way.
