Pedestrian Hurt After Being Hit by Vehicle in Jasper Shopping Center

JASPER -- A Jasper woman was hurt after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 4:50 p.m. in front of the Dollar Tree on Newton Street.  Police say a French Lick man was backing out of a parking space when he ran over the woman’s foot, trapping her against a nearby vehicle.

The pedestrian complained of hip pain following the incident.  We don’t know if she was sent to the hospital.

No charges were filed.
