Patoka Lake Winery Dash for the Glass 5K to Support Military Families

From Local Sources

BIRDSEYE--  Patoka Lake Winery’s 2nd annual Dash for the Glass 5K will take place at Patoka Lake Winery Saturday, November 3rd 2018 at 2pm.

Dash for the Glass 5K aims to raise money for local military families.

Last year, 194 racers registered for the 5K, raising over $3500. The money was divided evenly among three local organizations. The community support and enthusiasm moved many people, including State Representative Stephen Bartels, Co-owner of Patoka Lake Winery. Representative Bartels shared after the event: “having a father killed in Vietnam, my 22 years of Military service and now a son serving as a combat medic has given me a deep sense of duty to help our veterans in need, and also extend that support to the families.”

This year Patoka Lake Winery hopes to have 300 registered racers. Registration cost is $35 plus processing fees. Racers can register online at http://getmeregistered.com/DashfortheGlass5K or visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/patokalakewinery. Racers, age 21 and over, receive a t-shirt to commemorate the event as well as a glass of wine included in their registration fee. All ages are welcome and children and teens are encouraged to participate at an abated price.

Join Patoka Lake Winery and raise money for a great cause.
