Panic-Shopping Continues Around Dubois County, President Doesn't Think Shortages Will Last Long

JASPER -- Although we have no confirmed cases locally, the fear factor has set in here at home.

Some panic shopping has been reported throughout the area, with many local retailers selling out of items like Lysol, toilet paper and hand sanitizer.  Some local retailers have been low on other necessities like milk, meat, eggs and bottled water.

President Trump believes that will not last long, though.  He says he has spoken with CEO's of Kroger and Dollar General, which service Hoosiers. He says those CEO's assure him that, even though the store hours may be shorter, the shelves will be stocked and you will be able to get the food you need.

Walmart locations  in Jasper and nationwide will close early until further notice so staff can stock shelves and sanitize.  Hours will be 6 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily starting Sunday.
