PAIN AT THE PUMP: Statewide Gas Prices Up Tuesday

STATEWIDE--Gas prices have gone up again. The average price for gas across Indiana today is $2.12 per gallon, according to gasbuddy.com. That's nine cents higher than this time yesterday.

That's not surprising to Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy.

He said Monday before prices went up that this was the calm before the storm. A lot of what happens next will depend on China.

"If a broad trade agreement with China does come to pass, that will enhance the normal rise of 35-75 cents per gallon that we see nationally from February's low prices to Memorial Day weekend's prices- so what you see today will likely feel like a completely different world than what we expect near Memorial Day," DeHaan said.

The cheapest gas in the state is in Zionsville where it's $1.69.
