Overnight Police Chase in Jasper Reaches Speeds Over 120 MPH

JASPER --A man is in jail today after leading police on a high speed chase through Jasper overnight.

Police say Adam Pfau was riding his motorcycle on U.S. 231 just before midnight when he was clocked going 108 mph in a 55 mph zone.

As officers tried to pull him over, Pfau allegedly refused to stop, continuing at a high rate of speed.

The chase reached speeds of 127 mph on U.S. 231 before the driver came to a stop at the intersection with 250 South.


He’s charged with multiple felonies including Resisting Law Enforcement, Criminal Recklessness and OWI.  He also faces a misdemeanor charge of OWI in addition to reckless driving.

Pfau is lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.

Police from Huntingburg and the sheriff’s department assisted JPD in the overnight chase.
