One Man Airlifted Following Tuesday Morning Crash Involving a School Bus With No Kids Onboard

DUBOIS COUNTY -- We’re learning more today about a crash Tuesday morning involving a school bus and another vehicle.

It happened around 7:40 a.m. on CR 400 South, east of Pine Ridge Road.

Police say a Birdseye man crossed the center lane and hit the bus nearly head on.

Luckily, no children were on the bus at the time of the crash.

The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper, before being flown to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

The truck is a total loss.  There was approximately $5,000 in damage to the bus.
