OFFICIALS: Storms Likely Played a Part in Wednesday Night's Power Outages in Jasper and Other Areas

From Local Sources

JASPER -- A new round of storms last night plunged some parts of the area into darkness.

It happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday night.

A problem with Vectren down the line caused the outage at the Jasper Substation.

Dubois REC confirming around 100 customers in Jasper were without power for just under an hour.

There were also spotty outages in Ireland and Hillham.  Officials say lightning was likely to blame there.
