Jasper Woman Causes Trouble at Memorial Hospital

JASPER -- A Jasper woman is in jail today following an odd incident yesterday.

Police called out to an apartment in the 400 block of 43^rd Street in Jasper around 5 yesterday morning on a report of a physical dispute inside the residence.

Police say a witness told them 33-year-old Kristina Lewis made it all up, and that no altercation actually took place.

Officers transported Lewis to Memorial Hospital for evaluation when she allegedly became belligerent and argumentative with the medical staff, even pulling an IV out of her arm and trying to leave the hospital.

After being medically cleared, Lewis was taken to the Dubois County Security Center on misdemeanor charges of false informing and disorderly conduct.
