New JPD Officer Sworn In Wednesday

JASPER -- A new member of the Jasper Police force was sworn in last night.

Joe Chambersa Jasper native joins the force after a career as a military police officer in the U.S. Army.

The streets he’ll patrol are the same streets he grew up on.

"I'm happy to be working here in Jasper," Chambers told WITZ Radio News.  "This is where I always wanted to be as soon as I got out of the military; working for Jasper Police."

Officer Chambers is a graduate of Jasper High School.
