Motivational Speaker Encourages Dubois County Students to Overcome Adversity, Have Self-Respect

JASPER -- Some Dubois County students had an uplifting day this week as a motivational speaker visited local schools.

Tyler Campbell is the son of NFL Running Back Earl Campbell and was an aspiring pro football player himself until one diagnosis changed his life.

Back in 2007 he got out of bed and fell down.  That was the first time he felt symptoms of, what doctors would later diagnose, as Multiple Sclerosis.

His message was one of self-respect and overcoming adversity.

Campbell visited Forest Park and Jasper Middle and High Schools this week.

It was all part of Air1's Dare to Dream program.

Speakers go to schools in cities across America and tackle hot-button issues like bullying, drugs, low self-esteem and the importance of positive friends.

The assemblies are provided free-of-cost to the schools.  Click the link for more information about the program....  https://www.air1.com/events/dare-to-dream
