More Area COVID Deaths Reported as Local Numbers Soar to 90 on Thursday

JASPER -- Officials reported 90 new cases of COVID-19 in Dubois County Thursday afternoon.

It brings our total to 2,719 since the pandemic began.  Our seven-day positivity rate was 10.3 Thursday%. That’s up slightly from 10% on Wednesday.

Two Dubois County residents have died this week due to COVID-19. Our death toll stands at 34.

Other area counties are reporting new COVID-19 deaths as of the Thursday update.

Lawrence County reported two new deaths Thursday. Daviess and Martin Counties each added one new death to their totals.

Lawrence County also reported 54 new COVID cases. Daviess County reported 25 new cases Thursday and 13 reported in Martin County.  In Pike County, 20 new cases; 26 in Orange County, 12 in Perry County and Spencer County added 10 new cases Thursday afternoon.
