JASPER -- Still no deal between Memorial Hospital in Jasper and insurance-giant Anthem.

The two sides have until Wednesday to reach an agreement before the current contract expires.

Hospital official say the two sides met face-to-face on Wednesday of last week and they will continue discussions with Anthem.

Those Memorial officials say Anthem gives 3% rate increases to other hospitals each year.  But Memorial hasn’t received an increase in the last 20 years.

Anthem says Memorial’s rates are already higher than other facilities of its size in the state and they want a $5 million increase on top of it.

Patients with Anthem Insurance are being encouraged to contact the Memorial Hospital Resource Center at (812) 996 – 6399.

Anthem has also launched a website to answer any questions patients may have...... www.anthem.com/memorialhospital
