Mark Schroeder, Stanley Krempp Inducted into the Business Hall of Fame

DUBOIS COUNTY -- German American CEO Mark Schroeder and the late Stanley Krempp, founder of United Cabinets, were both honored Thursday morning as the 2018 Business Hall of Fame Laureates.

Schroeder began his career with German American when he was just 18.His first role was as a Vault Teller.  Through the years, the company paid for him to attend college on nights and weekends, and he rose up through the ranks where he’s been the CEO for the past 28 years.

In his acceptance speech, Schroeder encouraged junior leaders to take advantage of every opportunity possible and he took time to recognize the business leaders who grew their local businesses from scratch.

One of those leaders, the late Stanley Krempp.  Jeanne Campbell, Krempp’s daughter, says her father always saw the big picture.

Krempp wanted to own his own business, and never thought of starting one anywhere but here in Jasper.  Krempp grew a small cabinet business into #2 in the kitchen cabinet industry.

Campbell says her father’s legacy is still alive and well here in Dubois County.

The Business Hall of Fame is a major fundraiser for Junior Achievement of Southwest Indiana.

This year’s breakfast at the Huntingburg Event Center drew in record crowds and raised more than $40,000 for Junior Achievement Programs here in Dubois County.
