Man Arrested For Alluding Huntingburg Police, Other Charges

HUNTINGBURG -- A local man was arrested after allegedly alluding police during an attempted traffic stop.

Police say Johnathan Eckstein increased his speed and tried to lose responding officers.

He finally stopped in a church parking lot on Fifth Street.

Police say they smelled the odor of alcohol.  

Police also found paraphernalia and marijuana, according to arrest reports.

Eckstein is charged with Resisting Law Enforcement With a Vehicle, OWI, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

He’s lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
