Looking Toward The Future: Jasper Leaders Meet With Public to Discuss 10-Year Comprehensive Plan

JASPER -- Officials in Jasper are working on a 10-Year Comprehensive Plan, and they have some questions for you.

"What would Jasper look like in 2030," asked Darla Blazey, the Director of Community Development for the city of Jasper.  "We're going across a huge cross section of the community from transportation needs, utility needs, we're looking at economic development issues."

Wednesday night, Blazey and other city leaders held a public meeting to hear ideas from residents.

"We're asking them what they value in their community.  We're asking what they are proud of in this community and what are the challenges our community faces?"

Under Indiana law, all communities in the state must have a 10-Year Comprehensive Plan that looks toward the future of their communities.
