Local Pet Sitter Arrested After Allegedly Stealing From Jasper Family That Hired Her

JASPER -- A Dubois County woman is facing felony charges after police say she stole items from the Jasper home of one of her clients.

Cassandra Henke-Meyer is the owner of Happy Paws Pals Village.  She was hired to take care of the victim’s pets while they were out of town and had access to the victims' home.

When the family returned from their trip, they noticed items were missing and called Indiana State Police.

A search warrant was granted for Henke-Meyer’s home.  During that search, investigators found some of the stolen items.  They also found a controlled substance.

Henke-Meyer is facing five felony charges including burglary, theft, residential entry, possession of a legend drug and trafficking.
