JASPER -- The public is invited to a free presentation on solar energy in Jasper next week.

It will be held Tuesday, October 22nd.  There will be food and networking at 6:30 p.m., the program begins at 7 p.m.  It will be at the Jasper Group Community Room on Clay Street.

Dubois Strong and the Jasper Chamber of Commerce have partnered with state groups to host the presentation.

It will focus on the ideal locations for installing solar, ways to pay for solar energy systems and opportunities to grow solar in the area and beyond.

Solar energy has seemed out of reach of most Americans for years, say event organizers. Things are rapidly changing, though: Prices have gone down by 65% in ten years and incentives are in place (but will phase out).

Homeowners, business-people, pastors & lay leaders, school administrators, municipal & county leaders are all welcome to attend.
