STATEWIDE -- Indiana food pantries are getting thousands of prepackaged meals from the 13th annual Million Meal Marathon.

The event organized by the Million Meal Movement sets up assembly lines of volunteers at Lucas Oil Stadium to fill and seal boxes of rice, soy, dried vegetables, and a mix of 21 vitamins and minerals. Each box contains six meals.

Hitting the event's goal would mean packing nearly 300 of those boxes every minute. About three-thousand volunteers from Colts cheerleaders to third-graders took shifts getting boxes ready.

The meal packs will go out to Gleaners and Midwest Food Bank for distribution to all 92 counties.
