Local Communities Receive Grant to Make Dubois County More "Pedestrian Friendly"

FROM LOCAL SOURCES

DUBOIS COUNTY -- The cities of Jasper and Huntingburg, along with other communities within Dubois County, have received a grant to help create bike and pedestrian trails within the county.

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Planning Grant will allow local communities to develop a plan to address bike and pedestrian connectivity within the county.

The plan will evaluate overall connectivity in the county, identify connections and routes for future facilities, identify short and long-term priorities for implementation and make policy recommendations to the communities within the county to work together to make Dubois County more pedestrian friendly.

The planning process will run through the end of June 2021.
