[7:17 a.m. SAT]  - Forest Park Band Boosters Paper and Can Drive (rescheduled for 2/9)

[7:09 a.m. SAT] Jasper Salvage is closed today

[6:31 a.m. SAT]  Hunter Education Course (rescheduled for 1/18 and 1/19)

[6:30 a.m. SAT] Buschkoetter's Nursery is CLOSED Saturday due to the snowfall.

[5:13 a.m. SAT] We have 4 inches of snow outside of the WITZ Bottoms.  Roads are pretty slick across Dubois County.  Newton Street from Walmart south to the courthouse in Jasper is slushy and snow-covered.  U.S. 231 from the courthouse to the WITZ Bottoms were better, but still some slick spots.


Side roads and untreated surfaces are very hazardous this morning.  Slow down.  Use caution.


[7:40 p.m.] The plan to keep Indiana's state roads and interstates clear of snow this weekend includes the use of over 1,000 snow and salt trucks across the state. Read more on our live news blog by clicking below. 


[6:15 p.m.] Current radar shows snow moving closer. It may begin earlier than expected, which could result in slightly higher snow totals. We'll have to see what the storm decides to do. 


[5:10 p.m.] The Perpetual Adoration Chapel located on the campus of Precious Blood Parish will close at 7 pm this Evening and will reopen at Noon on Sunday.


[3:45 p.m.]  Cancellations:  Wrestling Invitational at Southwestern for Saturday has been CANCELLED, Pike County 4-H Pancake Roundup scheduled for Saturday morning will be held next Saturday, Boys Varsity Basketball: Paoli at NE Dubois game for this evening has been cancelled.

[3:00 p.m.] Winter Storm Warning issued January 11 at 3:18AM EST expiring January 12 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Louisville KY

Areas Affected: Scott; Washington; Orange; Dubois; Jefferson

A storm system moving in from the Plains region will bring a round of snow and possibly some freezing rain starting tonight and lasting into tomorrow morning. 

Wintry precipitation will gradually transition to rain Saturday morning and afternoon.

 * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations around four inches expected. Isolated higher amounts possible. 

* WHERE...Orange, Washington, Scott, Jefferson and Dubois Counties. 

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Saturday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, especially on secondary roads that are untreated. 

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. 

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
