Lincoln Amphitheatre to Open 2022 Season This Weekend with Garrison Keillor

Local Sources - The Lincoln Amphitheatre is set to begin its 35th year this Saturday, May 14, with a special performance by Garrison Keillor.

Keillor hosted NPR’s “A Prairie Home Companion” for forty years (which also inspired a movie adaptation of the same name that he starred in and wrote), has written fiction and comedy, and he continues to do “The Writers Almanac” which is sent out daily for free to subscribers.

The evening’s performance is titled “Garrison Keillor Tonight” and is a one man, one microphone evening of stand-up, storytelling, audience song, poetry, and all the latest news from Lake Wobegon.

VIP tickets for the evening are sold out, but there are still general admission tickets available for $21.95.  Tickets for this and all Lincoln Amphitheatre events, including the upcoming Henry Lee Summer performance on June 4 and this year’s Lincoln production (Makin’ a Home on Pigeon Creek) June 23-25, can be purchased at www.LincolnAmphitheatre.com, directly at bit.ly/2022LincolnAmp, or by box office phone at 812-937-2329.
