Lane Restrictions Scheduled for SR 162 Near Santa Claus

SPENCER COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for State Road 162 near Santa Claus for soil boring operations.

Beginning on or around Friday, March 19, contractors will begin conducting soil borings to begin the process of correcting a geological slide off of the roadway just over a mile west of the intersection of S.R. 245. During operations, crews will close one lane of the road with flaggers to control traffic. Work is only scheduled during daytime hours. Evening travel will not be restricted.

Work is expected to last  until mid-April, depending upon weather conditions.
