Jasper Wreck Sends Both Drivers to the Hospital, Totals Both Vehicles
Jasper - A Tuesday evening wreck sent both drivers to the hospital and resulted in both vehicles being totaled.
After 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by Aubree McCord, of Jasper, was on Church Avenue at the stop sign intersecting 3rd Avenue. A Ford Escape driven by Betty Survance was on 3rd Avenue traveling south, approaching the intersection of Church Avenue.
McCord's Grand Caravan turned right onto 3rd Avenue as Survance's Escape crossed the intersection, where the vehicles collided.
McCord was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way. Both drivers were sent to Memorial Hospital for injuries.
Both vehicle were marked as total losses.
