FROM LOCAL SOURCES

JASPER -- Jasper Police are asking for your help investigating a crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of 6th Street and Truman Road.  Police say it happened around 4:40 p.m.

A driver was waiting to turn left onto Truman when the light turned yellow.  The driver made his turn to clear the intersection as another vehicle approached and the two crashed.

The driver who was turning says the other driver ran the red light.  The female driver says it was yellow when she proceeded through the intersection.

If you can shed some light on the accident, you’re asked to contact Jasper Police and ask for Sgt. Bower or leave him a voicemail.

The female driver, a Jasper woman, was taken to the hospital complaining of chest pain.  The male driver wasn’t hurt.
