Jasper Pastor Charged With Failing to Report Child Sexual Abuse Cases

From Local Sources

JASPER -- Pastor Howard Geck was charged this week after investigators say he failed to report cases of child sexual abuse that allegedly took place at the Jasper Apostolic Church.

61-year-old Dexter Hensley was arrested back in May on charges he allegedly sexually abused children between the ages of 5 and 9 years old.

Police say Geck was made aware of the accusations two years ago but didn’t come forward to report them to the authorities.

Under Indiana law, any individual who has reason to believe a child is a victim of abuse, you must make a report with police or DCS.

Geck is charged with misdemeanor Failure to Make a Report.

Hensley faces numerous charges including molestation and sexual battery.
