JASPER -- Jasper mayor Dean Vonderheide says he likely won’t run for another term.

The revelation made this morning as he spoke to our Charlie Wayne Live at 7:05 on WITZ.

"I told my wife this will be my last term in office, but, you never know," the mayor said Thursday morning.  "I don't want to even leave the door open.  I think it is my last term, but, I enjoy it.  I enjoy the city; the peoples' passion."

Vonderheide was elected mayor by a Republican caucus back in 2018 to take over for Terry Seitz who resigned to work for U.S. Sen. Mike Braun.
