POLICE: Jasper Man Causes Accident in Ferdinand, Had No License or Insurance

FERDINAND -- A Jasper man with no insurance and no driver’s license caused a crash Wednesday afternoon in Ferdinand.

Police say Mark Dotterwiech was trying to turn south onto Industrial Park Road and didn’t see a northbound vehicle coming and the two collided.

Two minors were checked out at the scene by EMS crews.  Luckily, they just had a few scratches.  No one else was hurt.

Dotterwiech was cited for failure-to-yield and for driving without the license and insurance.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
