Jasper, Huntingburg Collecting Limbs Downed in Severe Storms Last Week

DUBOIS CO. -- Residents across portions of Dubois County continue to clean up today following last week’s severe weather.

In Jasper, the street department is waiving the limb size requirement for rubbish through Friday, June 8th, to accommodate limbs that were blown down during Thursday’s storms.

If needed, larger limbs will be gathered with heavy equipment.

Please stack limbs parallel to the curb or easy pickup. Smaller items should still be bundled as usual.

Again, the waiver is through this Friday.  If you have any questions, you can call 482 – 1130 Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4 P.m.

In Huntingburg, a city-wide tree pickup will be going on today until 3 p.m.

Tree limbs are not required to be bundled at this time, however, the limbs must still be placed parallel to the curb for the equipment to reach them.

You must call Huntingburg City Hall and leave your address in order for limbs to be collected by the street department.

That number is 683 – 2211.
