Jasper High School Partnering With Local Manufacturers Again This Year to Show Students Career Options

JASPER -- Jasper High School will be partnering with local manufacturers again this school year to expose students to all of the different careers that are out there, right here at home.

While many kids plan to go off to college once they graduate, JHS principal Brian Wilson admits college just isn’t for every student and there are great job opportunities here in Dubois County.

School officials say local manufactures need the next generation of the local workforce to fill jobs in their growing companies.

Wilson tells me local schools may try reaching kids BEFORE they even get to high school, adding they may start programs in middle schools.  Possibly even at the elementary level.
