Jasper Fugitive Arrested on Warrant, Meth Charges

JASPER -- A Jasper man is in jail today on drug charges.

32-year-old Corey Turpin was arrested Friday after police received an anonymous tip that a wanted fugitive was seen in the area of 4th and McCrillus Streets in Jasper around 9 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found Turpin in the passenger seat of a vehicle.  He was arrested on a felony warrant.

During his arrest, police found a gram of meth and 11 grams of marijuana, a syringe and smoking pipe.

Turpin is charged with possessing those items and he is facing that felony warrant.
