JASPER -- The Jasper Chamber of Commerce is moving forward with plans for this year’s Economic Outlook, but, due to COVID, it will look a bit different than in years past.
The Chamber will host the event virtually this year via Zoom on Wednesday, March 3rd at 11:30 a.m.
Uric Dufrene from IU Southwest will be the guest speaker. Topics will include his regional outlook for 2021; the impact of Covid-19 on local industries, employment and wages; and the connection between the regional economy and national economic indicators. He will also discuss the latest information on the regional labor market, with an emphasis on the Jasper Micropolitan area and occupations and skills in demand for the Jasper Micropolitan area.
There is no charge to attend this virtual presentation.
