STATEWIDE -- Hoosier shopping malls will be reopening in early May.
Simon Property Group announced this week it will open 49 properties over the next few days, including 10 Indiana locations on Saturday, May 2, reports CNBC.
Simon said it will make free temperature testing available to customers, using infrared thermometers.
Free CDC-approved masks and hand sanitizing packets will also be available. Simon said it will encourage shoppers to wear facial coverings while they shop.
It will be left up to the individual retailers at these Simon properties, such as American Eagle and Apple, to decide whether they wish to reopen for business, according to CNBC.
The following Indiana properties are expected to open May 2:
Circle Centre Mall
Fashion Mall at Keystone
Greenwood Park Mall
Hamilton Town Center
Indiana Premium Outlets
Lighthouse Place Outlets
University Park Mall
