Huntingburg Teen Accused of Drinking and Leaving the Scene of Crash Tuesday

HUNTINGBURG -- A Huntingburg teen was arrested Tuesday night following an accident.

Police say 19-year-old Reid Toby hit a block barrier and a trailer in the 1,000 block of Friendship Drive, causing damage to both.

Eyewitnesses say they saw the teen flee the scene.

Police eventually located Toby and they say he admitted to the crash.

Officers noticed the teen had been drinking alcohol.  He was taken to Memorial Hospital for a medical clearance then to jail.

Toby is charged with Minor Consumption, Operating a Vehicle Without Financial Responsibility, and leaving the scene of a property damage crash.
