Huntingburg Man Arrested on Felony Strangulation Charges

HUNTINGBURG -- A Huntingburg man was arrested this week on felony strangulation charges.

Police say the domestic incident took place February 1^st at an apartment in the 300 block of N. Chestnut Street.

Police say Nery Alfredo Castillo fled the area before officers arrived and, initially, they weren’t able to locate him.

An arrest warrant was issued and Castillo was arrested Wednesday.

He’s charged with felony Strangulation and Intimidation.  He also faces a misdemeanor count of Domestic Battery.
