JASPER -- A change of venue for the trial of a Huntingburg dentist and his wife is looking more likely today.

Tuesday in Dubois County court, judge Verkamp granted a supplemental motion during a hearing on a change-of-venue, requested by the defense, this according to the Free Press.

Lawyers for Alan and Aimee Friz say their clients can’t get a fair trial in Dubois County and had previously requested a jury be brought in from another county.

Now, those lawyers want the trails moved out of Dubois County all together.

Tuesday’s supplemental motion transfers the trail to Crawford County.A female judge THERE will preside over the case if its accepted by the circuit court.

Alan Friz, a Huntingburg dentist, and his wife Aimee are facing multiple felonies on charges they locked one of their children in a modified cage on multiple occasions.

Alan Friz is also facing charges of sexual misconduct with a minor. They were set to go to trial in Dubois County in late August, but now, that will change IF the Crawford County judge accepts the change of venue.
