Huntingburg Council to Present Southridge Baseball with Award July 4th

Huntingburg - The City of Huntingburg met for a Common Council Meeting discussing matters, beginning with the success of the Southridge Raiders.


The Council proposed printing up a resolution from the City of Huntingburg, a document signed by the Council to be presented to the team. It would be awarded at League Stadium in a celebration on the Fourth of July. 

The award was unanimously approved.

In other matters:

-  Proposed grinding an edge from U.S. 231 onto Steinkamp property. The estimated $1,200 project was approved to proceed, and to discuss payment with INDOT at a later date.

- Presented an issue in utilities, a need to hire and train additional help. The Council approved the hiring of a trainee in anticipation of retirement or turnover. One-fourth of the cost would be drawn from each of the four utilities
