INDIANAPOLIS--Indiana Task Force 1 is headed home after helping those affected by Hurricane Michael in Florida.

On Twitter and in a press release, they said they would be arriving at Task Force 1 headquarters in Indianapolis at about 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

While those people are heading home, other Hoosier helpers are just starting their service in Florida.

Maj. David Luft with the Salvation Army told WISH TV that he's left for Florida to provide emotional and spiritual care to the victims and first responders.
