SANTA CLAUS -- Holiday World & Splashin Safari has announced it will open for the season June 14th.

It’s later than other years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Our small-but-mighty team is now excitedly working hard to get ready," the company said in a statement Monday.  "As a family-owned park, we’re feeling the pressure, but we’re also proving how mighty we are when we work together. And now that we have a target date to work toward, we’re moving full-speed ahead."

The statement continued, "We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us to be ready to welcome Guests, but in the meantime, please keep following guidelines from the CDC and your state. Summer is within our grasp if we can just be patient a little while longer."

Park officials say there will be some operational changes including offering hand sanitizer and limiting the number of guests allowed in the park to 50% of its normal capacity.

Those officials also ask you to pack your patients as rides will be stopped periodically for cleaning.
