HIGHER BILLS: Town Council Approves Rate Hike For Electricity in Ferdinand

FERDINAND -- Residents in Ferdinand will see their electric bills go up soon.

The town council this week approved a 12.5% increase for residential customers.  On average, it will be about $9 more a month.  Commercial electric customers will see an increase of 19.5%.

No word today on when the rate increase will take effect.


The town hasn’t raised electric in more than 10 years.
